Advanced Respirators are pieces of headgear that protect the wearer from all Gas Effects. By wearing Advanced Respirators, the player can avoid being blinded, suffocated and slowed when breathing in gases.

Wearing an Advanced Respirator while breathing gas will damage the respirator until it breaks. How quickly it breaks depends on the breathed gas. When Advanced Respirators break, they will only protect the player against blindness, not against slowing and suffocation.

Advanced Respirators can be repaired Anvils using coal.
